Place order point screens at tables so guests can select a table, have a seat and place their order from the virtual waiter/waitress.
Store Layout & Atmosphere
Instead of manual doors into Sheetz, they should have oscillating doors or doors that open automatically. Its really hard to open the doors sometimes when your hands are full of coffees, pop and other Sheetz goodiez!
Have a drive through touch menu and window on the outside of the building. It can run the same system and kitchen with possibly a condensed menu if needed. It would open up traffic on the inside and save time especially with breakfast items. You could even include specific store items such as RedBull or candy.
I prefer Sheetz coffee MTO drinks to Starbucks any day but when it comes down to needing to meet someone for a coffee... Starbucks has a quieter more Cafe like setting. One of the Sheetz I go to has tables but the atmosphere isn't as cozy and welcoming. I would suggest making a Cafe Area secluded by doors or something away from the hustle and bustle of the gas station section that is just way to crowded. You could... more »
To attract more business and cater to more people, Sheetz should add indoor seating and offer college students an additional 5% off food purchases. Our brand new Sheetz in Asheboro, NC has four outdoor tables... but due to the metal frame umbrella with holes embedded into it, it's impossible to eat outside unless it's a clear day.
Change the orientation of the Sheetz restaurants to be more efficient. Most Sheetz I have been in do not have clearly defined entrances and exits. Paint clearly defined lanes and put in signs with clear labels indicating which way you enter and exit. Overall, clearly marked entrances and exits make for more efficient traffic flow, more happy customers, and more revenue for the business.
I think it would be great to add a dining in section of sheetz. Most of them currently have out door patio areas with tables and chairs. That's great for the spring / summer. but by fall & winter. There's no where to sit and eat. It'd be cool to be able to sit inside!
Able to Drive Thru Like a Car Wash, and Get Items Fast and Easy that would be refrigerated.
It would be nice if the were table and chairs outside to sit at and eat if you don't want to get food all over your car or just want to enjoy the great outdoors
if you go in to a sheets that just open you will see that it looks like a regular has station but if you would go into a sheetz that has neon lighting it looks like you walking in to something makes it even better to come in and when you go in to a new sheetz store and you would be like am i at the right store here ? i think every store should have neon lighting in it even the newer store thats what makes sheetz stands... more »
I feel that we could move closer to city centers and create a barista only location, similar to a Starbucks or other competitors. We could promote all our SBC drinks, Sheetz branded coffee, and cuppocino. We could also sell our Sheetz brand donuts and cookies... possibly even an RTE case. There would be little need for customer parking as we could build in areas with on street parking and areas heavy in foot traffic.... more »
Well you don't want to make sheetz a restaurant. That would make it like everything else, like a Mcdonalds, Wendys, and things like that. You don't want to be a "wanna be." Be unique like you are already! Those fast food places have seating inside... Boring and unoriginal. Have more seating outside! You're majority of sales (i'd imagine, besides gas) are teenagers or college kids with their late night food cravings... more »
They're always in the worst spots at every location. Why can't the terminals be beside the register like at every other store instead of glued to a display rack or on the opposite side of where you scan your items? This would be a free upgrade to the store and I would imagine it would be greatly appreciated.
Your food is good and popular so at meal times there can be quite a few people standing around waiting for their food but the stores are often crowded (with people and product). You might want to incorporate more open space in the MTO area in new store designs.
If someone comes into Sheetz who is not in a hurry and would like to utilize the indoor seating options, it would be nice to have an ordering station/computer right at the booth so you don't have to fight the crowds up at the standing stations and then have to find a seat.
Also, MORE seating inside wouldn't hurt either!
