Around where I live, the food overs are just shouted when they are ready, if the store is busy, sometimes it can be hard to hear the order number. Why not have the employees announces that "Order #xxx, is ready" or something like that.
Have a drive through touch menu and window on the outside of the building. It can run the same system and kitchen with possibly a condensed menu if needed. It would open up traffic on the inside and save time especially with breakfast items. You could even include specific store items such as RedBull or candy.
When you are in a hurry and only have an item or two, a self-checkout option would be a great feature at Sheetz stores. You can pay for MTO orders and scan UPC's of other items at the kiosk. Once you're done, swipe your My Sheetz Card, swipe your credit card to pay, and you are on your way out the door. To handle paying for gas inside, if you swipe your My Sheetz Card at the pump and you have an unpaid transaction... more »
Every time I go into a Sheetz and someone orders MTO food, the warning buzzer goes off. Its so ear splitting loud and persistent that it actually makes standing in the store painful for more than a few minutes. Having witnessed/experienced this on probably over 100 times I have become convinced that it has literally made the staff tone-deaf to that tone based on the premise they appear to be in no hurry to silence the... more »
For the love of your customers, please stop making people walk through the ocean of people waiting for MTO food all the way across the store for a LID. Here's a great idea- put the LIDS for Coffee placed NEXT to the COFFEE!!! If we need to customize it, we'll take it back off and add things. Right now it is dangerous because in my area the floor is often covered with wet snow. Thank you! :)
Set up a system to call a "Code 3" or something similar when more than 3 people are waiting in line at the registers. I visit your stores daily and most of them are pretty good. However, some don't seem to care how long the wait is. At times, I have seen 2 people cleaning around the coffee pots while chatting and laughing, 2 or more making food, and 1 person running a register with 10-12 people waiting in line!
Over the past decade, wait times have gotten ridiculously longer, bathrooms have gotten ridiculously dirtier, and customer service has taken a nose dive. I regularly wait 15-20 minutes for a frozen mocha, and seldom hear a "Sorry about the wait" like I used to in the old days. I've gone to the Duncannon Sheetz about 3x a week for 2 years and have yet to see any paper towels in the men's room. And when I order a quesadilla... more »
You need better training for MTO employees regarding food prep and presentation. I can't tell you how many times we have ordered hot dogs and they are thrown together and falling apart (maybe you need better buns) and the condiments are just slopped on - It's disgusting ! You should also go back to using the boxes for hot dogs if there is things like Chili on them -- I can't tell you how many times I get hot dogs and... more »
I believe we should carry the thicker, colorful milkshake straws as well as the red ones we currently have. They would be the same straws that different companies use for Boba tea. We can have the current straws for SBC drinks like iced coffees and the fizz city area, then milkshake straws to make drinking our milkshakes easier.
You guys have started a new campaign with a great attitude! I love your cool, quirky, positive marketing vibe. It really appeals to people like me. But from the experience I've seen at your stores this mentality is more in the marketing (and probably the hearts of the office employees) then in the workers on the front line. Your biggest asset and your biggest billboard are your employees! Yet I bare witness to disgruntled... more »
It would be great if ALL toasted food was placed on toaster sheets or on the silicone pads that Subway uses.. Some sheets do this, others do not. Food tastes like ashes and cigarettes when I get it toasted.. This would be a good improvement :)
Lactose intolerance actually affects the majority of adults, and many of Sheetz's appetizers are cheese or dairy filled. If at minimum, I suggest more lactose free options or options to include lactose- ree cheeses and and milks.
Sheetz could truly benefit from installing machines that let you pay for your Made-To-Order orders at the ordering kiosks. It would be easier and a great way for customers that are just getting food to pay for their orders without having to stand in long lines with those that are getting gas or items that aren't on the Made-To-Order Menu. It would also ensure that your all customers get in and out in a timely fashion,... more »
MTO Drive Thru, and full service gas!!!! Place your order for food & fuel at the order window-, pull forward where an attendant fills your fuel tank as you "ordered" pull up further still to pick up your food order-- all paid for at the order window with your atm/credit card.
Sheetz should really launch a large-scale campaign to raise the bar of guest service and hospitality it's employees provide to its guests (not "customers"). While the execution may be a bit better than the old gas station down the street, there is a huge opportunity to improve it. Things like guest engagement, eye contact, smiling, friendly, genuine thank you and so on should be the basics. What can Sheetz employees... more »
