Instead of manual doors into Sheetz, they should have oscillating doors or doors that open automatically. Its really hard to open the doors sometimes when your hands are full of coffees, pop and other Sheetz goodiez!
Store Layout & Atmosphere
Have a drive through touch menu and window on the outside of the building. It can run the same system and kitchen with possibly a condensed menu if needed. It would open up traffic on the inside and save time especially with breakfast items. You could even include specific store items such as RedBull or candy.
To attract more business and cater to more people, Sheetz should add indoor seating and offer college students an additional 5% off food purchases. Our brand new Sheetz in Asheboro, NC has four outdoor tables... but due to the metal frame umbrella with holes embedded into it, it's impossible to eat outside unless it's a clear day.
Change the orientation of the Sheetz restaurants to be more efficient. Most Sheetz I have been in do not have clearly defined entrances and exits. Paint clearly defined lanes and put in signs with clear labels indicating which way you enter and exit. Overall, clearly marked entrances and exits make for more efficient traffic flow, more happy customers, and more revenue for the business.
I think it would be great to add a dining in section of sheetz. Most of them currently have out door patio areas with tables and chairs. That's great for the spring / summer. but by fall & winter. There's no where to sit and eat. It'd be cool to be able to sit inside!
Your food is good and popular so at meal times there can be quite a few people standing around waiting for their food but the stores are often crowded (with people and product). You might want to incorporate more open space in the MTO area in new store designs.
How do you make Sheetz feel more like a restaurant? Indoor seating areas. I've seen them at some Sheetz locations, but not all of them. Make them standard. I want to sit for a few minutes and calmly enjoy my Sheetz. Without tables, my next best option is to sit on the curb or in my car, which could get very messy and stressful.
Make Sheetz truly family friendly and remove all pornographic materials from all locations.
Of all the places I've ever stopped at this is the only one that uses 1ply toilet paper could sheetz please change and make it 2 ply
There needs to be a better way of directing traffic at the registers. I don't know how many times I've patiently waited in line, just to have someone walk in the side door and jump line.
wheelchair door to open when you are in a wheelchair , most places have a botton to push and the doors open at sheetz you have to hold the door open and they to get a wheelchair thow it .
It would be nice if the were table and chairs outside to sit at and eat if you don't want to get food all over your car or just want to enjoy the great outdoors
I feel that we could move closer to city centers and create a barista only location, similar to a Starbucks or other competitors. We could promote all our SBC drinks, Sheetz branded coffee, and cuppocino. We could also sell our Sheetz brand donuts and cookies... possibly even an RTE case. There would be little need for customer parking as we could build in areas with on street parking and areas heavy in foot traffic.... more »
Well you don't want to make sheetz a restaurant. That would make it like everything else, like a Mcdonalds, Wendys, and things like that. You don't want to be a "wanna be." Be unique like you are already! Those fast food places have seating inside... Boring and unoriginal. Have more seating outside! You're majority of sales (i'd imagine, besides gas) are teenagers or college kids with their late night food cravings... more »
The lines at most locations (especially around lunch and dinner) are overcrowded. The line of people waiting to pay bumps into the line of people waiting for their MTO's. Lines are often blocking the aisles so it is difficult for shoppers.
